My Beloved Episode 27 –
The one with the Hit and Run

Sharina cries as Elsa
talks to her. “Sharina, OK ka lang ba?” [Haller, tita Elsa, kelan pa naging OK ang
isang taong nagngangangawa? Ikaw kaya
ngumawa at tanunging kung OK lang, matino ang isasagot mo? Ha?!]
Sharina ever the
respectful child, “Tita iwan mo na lang po akong mag-isa dito” tells her aunt she wants tobe left alone for a
while.
Elsa maintains the
friendly approach, “Huwag mo solohin ang problema mo, andito naman ako.” Tells Sharina she is there for her. A bit unbelievable so she quickly adds, “Alam
ko na iniisip mo na wala akong paki-alam sa inyo pero ang totoo, nag-aalala ako
sa inyo ni Monica.” She states she is
worried about Monica and Sharina and the rift growing between them.
While Elsa is busy with
Sharina, Ginella makes her move on Monica who is crying in her shared bedroom
with Sharina. Ginella calls out to tell
Monica that what she did was just right.
Monica quite immune to Ginella’s opinions, tells her to leave her alone,
“Tigilan mo ako.”
Ginella isn’t easily
deterred, tells her that despite them always being at odds, this time, she’s on
Monica’s side ,”At this point, tama ka.
Mali naman talaga si Sharina eh.”
Back to Elsa, she
adds, “Alam ko nahihirapan ka pero di ito nakikita ni Monica ang mga sakripisyo
mo.” Sharina now fully trusting of Elsa
asks, “Bakit ba di maintindihan ni Monica?”
Elsa stroking Sharina’s hair smiles behind her, as she adds more fuel to
the fire, “Ewan ko ba sa kapatid mo, masyadong makasarili.”
Ginella is still busy
winding up Monica, “Imagine binoyfriend niya yung pumatay sa boyfriend mo!” Then invites Monica if she wants, she can
sleep in Ginella’s room. Monica seems to
fall into Ginella’s trap now and adds she too can’t understand why her sister
is acting like this, all for one man,
She agrees to sleep in Ginella’s room and goes to take her pillow along.
Sharina comes up and
sees Ginella and Monica, the latter with her pillow. She asks “O, Monica…san ka pupunta?” Monica is sarcastic in her reply, “Kay
Ginella ako matutulog, ayaw ko dyan, man ahas dyan.” Sharina is left alone and again, in tears.
[How can Monica talk to her sister like that if she really loves Sharina? Where is the respect? After all the things her sister has done for
her, she treats her worse than she treats Elsa and Ginella who had been so
horrible to her. Tanga-tanga ni Monica,
ang sama-sama pa ng ugali, grrrrr!
Sharina, anoveh girl, iiyak ka na lang ba forever? Shake that Monica really hard so she can
learn to speak to you with respect!]
Gimo ang Tikyo are drinking. Gimo calls Tikyo on one of his shortcomings, “May
atraso ka papala sa akin ha. Binalikan
mo pa pala si Benjie?!” Tikyo
apologises, explains he just wants to know if Benjie is OK. Benjie arrives looking sad,
broken-hearted. He tells them he and
Sharina broke up, “Ayaw na niya sa akin.”
They baddies ask him to join them.
One way to forget a broken heart is to drown it in alcohol.
After a while Benjie
complains he is drunk, really drunk by still can’t help but think about
Sharina.
Nelson and Monica are
gossiping about Sharina and Benjie’s secret relationship. How long has it been, how Benjie fooled them
all, how gullible and stupid Sharina is, etc.
Monica asks for Nelson’s help, “Ayaw ko si ate na magka-boyfriend ng
kriminal.” She doesn’t want a cold-blooded
criminal for her sister. Nelson assures
her that if she ever saw Benjie, he will surely teach him a lesson.
Benjie arrives drunk
and bangs on the gate calling for Sharina to come out so they can talk. Monica and Nelson open the gate, Monica screams
at Benjie, “Ang kapal ng mukha mo!
Lumayas ka dito!” Benjie tries to
explain, “Monica kailangan ko lang makausap si Sharina. Monica, di ako pumatay kay sa boyfriend mo.”
But again Monica
refuses to even listen [I truly hate her now!] “Mamamatay tao ka! Ikaw ang pumatay sa magiging asawa ko!” [Ay
for once, tumama ka rin day…magiging asawa HINDI pa asawa.]
Nelson got agitated
and punches Benjie. He falls to the
ground. Benjie refuses to fight, “Ayaw
kong makipag-away sa iyo. Gusto kong
makausap si Sharina.” Nelson keeps
punching Benjie when Sharina & Dessa arrive, this is the scene that they
see and Sharina instantly runs to defend Benjie.
“Tama na!,” Sharina screams at Nelson to stop hitting
Benjie.
Nelson tries to
explain that Benjie is drunk, and “Nanggugulo.”
But Sharina didn’t see that, what she saw was Nelson hitting
Benjie. Monica gets irritated by her
sister. “Ano ka ba? Ikaw na nga
pinagtatanggol ni Nelson tapos si Nelson pa sinisigawan mo?” How can you scream at Nelson when he is the
one defending you. [Wait ha,
pinagtulungan nyo si Benjie na lasing at ayaw lumaban, na gusto lang kausapin
si Sharina, alin ang magulo doon? Naku
Monca, kung walking distance ka lang, sinabunutan na kita!]
Nelson walks away to
his car. Monica runs after him. Nelson seems to have given up seeing how the
two are clearly in love with each other, “Mahal ni Benjie si Sharina. Mahal ni Sharina si Benjie.” He decides to go away for a while, take a
vacation. Monica calls him but he gets
into his car and drives away.
Sharina tells Benjie
he needs to leave. “Nakita mo ang
nangyari sa amin ng kapatid ko? Alis ka
na.” He leaves. Sharina is left with
Desa and she tells her bestfriend how hard this is all to take in. Desa can only comfort her friend in this
trying stage of her life.
Ginella continues her ‘divide
and conquer’ strategy on Monica. “Grabe
talaga ang ate mo. Pinakawalan nya si
Nelson. Sayang naman si Nelson.” [Yeah, Ginella wants Nelson for herself, I’m
sure deep down she is rejoicing.]
Monica couldn’t
believe it too. “Sinisira niya ang buhay
niya dahil sa lalaking yon.” She makes a
drastic decision herself, “Sisirain ko rin ang buhay ko.” [Spoken like a true
stupid and selfish individial!]
Benjie is
broken-hearted still. Things are getting
from bad to worse. And it starts to
rain. He kneels down and looks up to
heaven, daring it. “Ano masaya na ba
kayo?” Happy now? He lies on the ground, letting the rain wash
away everything, maybe even himself.
Emie with a red umbrella sees him and helps him up. She takes him home. [Minsan ko lang nakikita
si Katrina Halili na mabait…this is one of those rare scenes.]
Emie has Benjie lying
in bed and she stares at him lost in her own thoughts. “Lagi mo na lang akong
tinatanggihan kapag matino ka. Tingnan
natin ngayong lasing ka, kung di ka bumigay sa akin.” She kisses Benjie. Benjie stirs, sees Sharina so he kisses
back.
Emie smiles, “Sabi ko
na nga ba, di mo ako matitiis eh.” But
Benjie see Emie and pushes her away. “Pasensya
ka na, akala ko kasi si Sharina.”
Emie curses telling
Benjie, “Ang layo ko naman sa babaing yon!” [Haller, girl, malayo talaga!]
Benjie stops her. Tells her he knows how it feels to be hurt
now that he and Sharina are no more. “Ayaw
kita masaktan.” He doesn’t want to hurt
Emie.
Emie looks positive
knowing Benjie and Sharina had broken up.
“Wala na kayo?” Emie sees hope
when Benjie asks her the unthinkable. “Kausapin mo kaya?” He asks Emie to go speak with Sharina,
explain to her, tell her he loves her.
Emie looks at Benjie like he’s an idiot. [Oo nga, insensitive much,
Benj?]
Ginella teaches Monica
to smoke. [Eto naman si Monica, the way she holds the cigs kala mo nagma-marijuana
eh yosi lang yan girl!]
Junic doesn’t want
Monica to smoke and swats Ginella’s hand.
She felt it, saying, “Parang may multo.”
Sharina catches them, “Naninigarilyo
ka?” Monica reasons, “Yosi lang, di
tulad ng iba dyan, sinungaling.” Elsa
joins, demands Ginella why she is teaching Monica to smoke. Ginella joins their pretend drama saying “tinutulungan
ko lang si Monica makalimot. Ako na nga
lang kakampi nya dito eh, di tulad nyo sobrang loyal kay Sharina.” And walks away.
Elsa pretends to talk
to erring daughter. Sharina reminds aunt
to stop fighting. “Huwag na po kayo mag-away.”
Sharina asks Monica to
stop smoking. Monica treating her elder
sister like dirt, “Ano ngayon concerned ka?”
Sharina tells her she
broke up with Benjie, “Wala na kami, pinutol ko na.” She adds it’s all for Monica.
Monica still being
bitchy, “So dapat makonsyensya ako na nahihirapan ka? Anong ginawa ko sa yo? Iniwan na nga tayo ni
Nanay, wala na si Tatay. Manang-mana ka
sa ina mo, makati!” [I so want to kill
Monica! Kelan ba masasagasaan ito!
Mamatay ka na nga para free to love na sina Sharina at Benjie!]
Sharina slaps
Monica. Monica stunned. Sharina wants to take back her actions, hugs
her sister but she walks away. Elsa and
Ginella peeking from behind are both happy about their meddling and the
outcome.
Gimo and Emie are
drinking together. Gimo complains to her
how Benjie has really changed. Emie asks
not to mention his name, they’ve been over for a while now. Gimo asks if they had a fight. Emie admits she wants to forget about Benjie
and move on. Gimo asks, “Kala ko ba
walang banggitan ng pangalan?” And they
laugh. Emie agrees, “Oo nga ako. Hirap kasi alisin sa isip ko eh.” Gimo suggest for Emie to find a new
love. “Hanap ka ng lang ng bago.” She asks him, “Sino ipapalit ko?” Who?
Gimo without batting an eyelash replies, “Ako.” Me. Emie
couldn’t believe it, thinks Gimo is kidding, “Ano ka ba? Uminom na nga lang tayo.” [Ah so, type pala ni Gimo si Emie, in
fairview, bagay kayo kuya, teh!]
Monica onto her self
pity, self-centeredness drama, about how since childhood her sister took care
of her and wouldn’t allow anything or anyone to hurt her. “Mahal na mahal ako ng ate ko. Ngayon lang nya ako nasaktan,” Monica emotes.
Ginella adds more fuel
to the fire, “Nag-iba na ate mo.
Biyolente na siya!”
Monica blames Benjie, “Dahil
sa lalaking yon!” Sharina has changed
because of him.
Ginella urges her to
rebel. “Tama yan, magrebelde ka na lang.
Kung sa akin nangyari yan, di na ako magpapakita sa kanya. Maglalayas ako!”
Sharina combs her hair
and recalls how she used to do this for Monica.
One of their sisterly bondings.
Elsa sees her and asks, “Ano malungkot ka na naman?” Sharina regrets having hit Monica, “Miss ko
na kapatid ko. Lalong lumalala ang away
naming dalawa. Dapay di ko na siya
sinaktan.”
Elsa tells Sharina
what she did was right. “Tama ang ginawa
mo. Kung ako lang, di lang yon ang
inabot niya sa akin.” She tells Sharina
that it’s also time she thinks about herself and her own future. Then she asks if Sharina had already
transferred the name of the house to hers from Lily’s. She reminds Sharina this is very
important. Sharina fully trusts her aunt
and gives her the title of the house and lot property so Elsa can do the
transfer on her behalf. [Naku baka hocus pocus transfer ito sa kanya!]
She goes to open the
cupboard and sees Monica’s stuff are all gone.
She calls Ginella and asks her, “Yung mga gamit ba ni Monica, nasa
kwarto mo?” If Monica’s stuff are in her room.
Ginella tells her no, but she saw Monica earlier fixing her things. Sharina asks where is she now. Ginella acts as if it wasn’t her suggestion, “Lalayas
ata.” Sharina is upset, “Ano?” She goes off to look for Monica. Elsa meanwhile shows the title to
Ginella. Step one complete, leveling up!
Emie is asleep when
Lola Inday comes to wake her up. Emie
tells Lola Inday that she is nursing a bad hangover from last night’s drinking
session with Gimo. Lola Inday urges her to
wake up and that she’ll be happy to hear it as it involves Benjie too. But Emie dismisses it telling the elder woman
she’s given up on Benjie. “Ang dali mo
naman panghinaan ng loob,” Lola Inday comments, telling how easily Emie has
given up. She tells her that she has
thought of a sure-fire plan to get Emi and Benjie together. Emie
is curious, “Ano?” What is it? Lola Inday says it plain as day, “Pikutin mo.” They must force him to do it, ala shotgun
wedding.
Desa and Sharina are
out looking for Monica. Sharina sees her
carrying a huge bag, she takes her hand.
But Monica doesn’t want to go home.
Even Casper-Junic agrees, “Makinig ka sa ate mo.” [Gago ka Junic ha,
binuking-buking mo sina Sharina at Benjie tapos ngayon makinig-makinig ang
drama mo? Kung di dahil sa iyo, di naman
mag-aaway ng ganito magkapatid, tado!]
Monica stubbornly
declines and crosses the street to be away from her sister. Junic sees a speeding vehicle and tries to
stop it but of course it passes him through.
It speeds right through straight into Monica who goes up to the car and
bangs her head hard onto the glass, then rolls down to the ground. The car doesn’t evens top. It’s a hit and run case. Sharina screams and runs for her sister. Monica lies unconsious, her head bleeding
badly. Sharina can only scream her
sister’s name, “Monica!”
Abangan: Is Monica going to die? Are those sundo for her? Bakit ang dami?
